PARENTS

GET INVOLVED AND STAY INVOLVED!

Parent involvement

Parental involvement is a huge factor in your child’s development and success. We encourage your involvement by attending "Montessori at Home" workshops provided by Miss Gretchen. Reading the monthly newsletter and listening to your child talk about their day. We also invite parents who are interested in volunteering in the classroom, to participate in parent volunteer training nights.

Our classroom is always open for scheduled parent observation. We will have parent/guardian meetings twice a year to update you on your child's progress.

We will take excellent care of your child!

We treat every child as our own, dedicating ourselves

wholeheartedly to their success. We have safety measures in place to keep everyone safe. The doors are locked from the outside starting at 8:30am, with emergency "crash" bars for an easy exit. There are cameras placed at each door and a camera ring doorbell if you are running late. There are sound sensors on the doors so we know when they are being opened.

We have a newly updated Fire Alarm system that connects our classroom and the business next door to the Fire department. We have all new materials, flooring, and lighting. There are multiple hand washing sinks in the classroom as well as two clean updated bathrooms. Prairie Rose Montessori is a licensed Preschool and follows DHS regulations.

SCHOOL POLICIES

The first few years of your child’s life is a time of magic and wonder. We understand the importance of these years, and dedicate ourselves to making positive and educational. Our school policies are dictated by this philosophy, and designed for your child’s optimal learning and growth. Once your child is enrolled in Prairie Rose Montessori you will have access to our Parent Handbook and Policies.

PARENT COMMITTEE

Your involvement is of great importance to our success. Our policy leaves you immeasurable room for involvement. This includes volunteering on a regular basis or participating in special events. You’re an integral part of your child’s success.

We will be starting a parent organized non-for profit group called "Friends of Prairie Rose Montessori" where parents can create fundraisers to raise scholarship money to help families attend our school.

HIGHEST STANDARDS

We take health very seriously. This includes everything from the quality of snacks that we serve, classroom cleaning everyday, to the health of every child and every education professional. All of our staff have emergency training skills, and our facility is maintained to the highest standards. We will have clear policies about illness and when a child should stay home and when it is fine to send them to school. We are all in this together to keep our children happy and healthy!
